Noah Being Very Sure of What He Sees, Built An Ark

I am very amazed that Noah Builds an Ark for 100 years without rain in between.

Noah saw it and spend 100 years of his life doing it.

What a determined and confident pursuit. What faith! What focus and what clarity!

What do we see today?

If You Know You Couldn't Fail, What Would You Do?

I was asking myself this question today.

"If I know I couldn't fail, what would I do?"

"What is the ideal job that I will do if I know i will have the blessings of God and will surely succeed?"

Answer : I value significance and therefore being able to contribute significantly to something is what makes me truly happy.

1st Choice :
I will be a preacher full-time... I always wanted to be a preacher of the word of God since I was a young boy... Not a part-time preacher as I understand the importance of being a preacher in the market-place but that is not what I was referring to.I am referring to preaching full-time.

2nd Choice :
I will be one of the decision makers in a company that can contribute and influence the way the business is run.

3rd Choice : I will be a social entreprenuer... =)

"Why Didn't i be what I liked to be?"

Answer :

Because I didn't believe I will succeed or think that this is what God called me to do at this point in time.

"What is my conclusion to this matter?"

Answer :
Honestly, at this point in time...Only God Knows. But this doesn't make me despair because in Christ, we have a hope - Jesus Christ who have purchased this on the cross of Calvary.

What About you? What is your response to the 3 questions above?

Seek God and He will speak to you.

My Significance In Life Comes From Walking With God

Draw near to God and you will find greater peace in Your life.

I believe it. It is like swimming in the sea, the deeper you go, the calmer it will be.

The Deeper we go in the Lord, the more peace we experience in our life.

Life is not about us fulfilling our greatest potential in life, how high you can climb and how much you can earn or how significant a difference you can make in your community but it is to bring our potential to God and use it to Worship Him.

I have reflected on some of the things I hope to accomplish in life, only to receive a direction from God to go deeper and deeper in Him. And as I do, find my greatest significance in Life.

If my life is to be significant today, then today I must make it a priority to start walking deeper in the Lord today.

O what Passion it takes for Christ to go to the Cross for us and what certainty/hope he has when he laid down His life.

He Alone defines what significance is and it is our priviledge to find that out from Him today!!

2009 - The Year Of Transformation

The Lord showed me His plans for me in 2009 that 2009 will be a year of transformation.

I Believed it and therefore I confess it!

The Bible says in Matthew 7:13
"Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few."

The Bible teaches us that there are 2 gates.
1)the wide gate
2)The narrow gate

And there are 2 ways.
1) The easy way
2) The hard way

The wide gate and the easy way in this passage is talking about the teachings of the Pharisees which focuses on external requirements for man to see.

The narrow gate and hard way is referring the the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ, which is talking about inward transformation.

The Lord showed me that inward transformation is the work of God in our lives and this year, God is going to make me focus on this.

Tranformation will lead to Victory and Victory will lead to Fruitfulness.

Transformation is not a work of man but a work of God. Let's pray for this and believe God for it.

God will definitely answer your prayer of transformation.

Let's Pursue The Greater Blessing In Life!

We worry about the wrong things in Life don't we? =)

We tend to worry about the clothes we wear, the hairstyle we have, the money we earn, the things we need to buy, the career we must take etc etc...

Please don't get me wrong, these are things we need to think about cos they are legitimate things we Singaporeans discussed about almost everyday.

But the Bible teaches us something more profound. The Bible considers all these things that we tend to pursue "The lesser Blessings" and shows us the "Greater Blessings" in life.

In Matthew 6:33, the Bible says "But seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

When the Lord Jesus says this, He was referring to the fact that we worry about the clothes we wear and the food we eat which are of course important but not cosidered as the most important things to pursue in life.

Rather, the Lord wants us to focus on the greater blessings which is to seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness and ALL THESE OTHER THINGS will be added/Given on top of these to us.

As we seek the to do God's will in our lives, the Lord will certainly add the rest of the things that we desire to our lives.

So let's not worry about the things that are of lesser importance but know that as we look to God and walk with Him, He will bless us not just with peace and joy but also all these other things that comes with it.

Our Lord is Good and will supply all our needs according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus!

Why On Earth Do We Have To Pray?

Have you ever asked yourself why do we need to pray? Is it a must? Will something bad happen to us if we don't pray?

Prayer is not made so that God will know what we need and give it to us because the bible says in Matthew 6:8 "Your Father knows what you need before you ask Him".

The Lord also will not plan for bad things to happen when we don't pray because He is a good God.

1) Prayer was made so that we can develop our dependence on the Lord and grow in our faith in Him.
Prayer expresses our trust in Him as the Almighty God and increases our trust in Him when we see the result of answered prayers.

2) Prayer also helps us develop our relationship with God. Through times of speaking to God and seeking His will through prayer, it cultivates a lifestyle of communication with God. Prayer brings us deeper in fellowship with the Lord and God delights in that.

3) Prayer is also made so that we can be a part of God's people praying for the advancement of God's Kingdom values in this world. When we pray, we align ourselves with God's plan in bringing His light and salvation to this world where darkness and deception exists due to the absence of the light and truth of God.

So Prayer isn't really about trying to appease a God that may become angry anytime if we don't please Him, turning the Lord into something like a volcano waiting to erupt, so we better keep Him happy.

Rather, Prayer is all about drawing near and working with a loving Father who love to have us around Him and who love to speak with us everyday and to shower us with His love, guidance, blessings and protection for our lives.

So let us draw near to him in Prayer today, delighting in this wonderful priviledge of being an audience of the Creator of the Universe today.

God Bless!
